Mr. Boyd is a native Houstonian with over twenty years of Texas practice. He is a graduate of Rice University and Texas Tech School of Law.

Over the years he has represented clients in transactional litigation involving energy exploration, production and services, lending and commercial credit facilities, data technology, media broadcast, medical patents, real estate development and bankruptcy reorganization.

Closely related to his transactional litigation practice, he has provided white collar criminal representation in a wide variety of areas including cases alleging pharmaceutical misbranding, import and customs violations, currency reporting violations, complex foreign money laundering schemes, tax evasion, and misappropriation of casino and tribal funds.

Licensed to practice by the Texas Supreme Court in all Texas state and appellate courts, Mr. Boyd is also admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas and the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Boyd serves on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Harris County Courthouse which is assisting in the restoration of the 1910 courthouse.
